Project Title: Projek Pembinaan Lencongan Sungai Baru (CHO-CH12600) Serta Kerja-Kerja Berkaitan Rancangan Tebatan Banjir Sungai Kedah/Anak Bukit, Kedah.

This project was initiated by the Department of Drainage and Irrigation in Kedah, a state in Malaysia. The project site was in Anak Bukit, Kedah. As a result of the aging of the existing drainage and irrigation system and the undersized local drains and culvert, floods occurred when tidal or storm in the area. The objectives of this project were to upgrade the drainage and irrigation system to improve the effectiveness and to increase the drainage & irrigation capacity. This project cost over RM1.9 million. 

OKC started the upgrading work in September 2021 and completed in September 2023. The products used in this project were SS316 Roller Gate (4.8m height x 6.3m width), Hoisting System, Stoplog, Screwdown Gate and accessories. 

Upon completion, the flash flood in the area was completely resolved.
